2. EMMA STONE
What a difference a day makes! While Emma Stone brought plenty of glitz and glam to the red carpet at Cannes Film Festival (l.), the actress was barely recognizable as she made her way through LAX Airport just hours later, on her way back from the star-studded event on May 18, 2015.
The 2010 teen comedy Easy A was Stone’s first starring role and earned her nominations for the BAFTA Rising Star Award and a Golden Globe Award. This breakthrough role was followed by the commercially successful film Crazy, Stupid, Love (2011), and a supporting part in the critically acclaimed drama The Help (2011). The actress received wider recognition for playing Gwen Stacy in the 2012 superhero film The Amazing Spider-Man, and its sequel in 2014. She was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for the role of a recovering drug addict in the black comedy-drama Birdman (2014). Her Broadway debut came in a revival of the musical Cabaret (2014–15).
